Reach Out and Read (ROR) – Importance of Early Literacy Skills

Kaiser Permanente advocates for early literacy.  ROR helps us to make books and reading a basic part of a child’s well baby visits, from six months to five years of age.   

Please join Kaiser Permanente for a reading of the Magic Sandman and experience our ROR program first hand.  

The “Sandman” will be making a special appearance during the reading to meet and greet the kids, pass out coloring sheets, and present reading tips to parents.

Car safety seats have been shown to be highly effective in reducing death and injury due to motor vehicle crashes. According to NHTSA, car safety seats are 71% effective in reducing deaths for infants and 54% effective in reducing deaths for children ages 1 to 4 years.
